Win a Kindle!

Found this competition to win a Kindle and there are no strings!

We used to call these woods Primrose woods – but you’d be hard pressed to find a primrose there these days. However the ground is absolutely covered with wood anemones. From a distance, it almost looks as if there’s been a dusting of snow.

And what is the message on the dashboard about Blogger getting a new look in April? Upgrade now it says. All I can say is – eek!

  1. I've entered the comp, thanks. (Just don't tell them I'm a Yorkshire Tea drinker!)

I keep getting 'service unavailable' when I come to Blogger. Oh dear, not a good sign. Change is afoot!

  2. I love anemones - and hate upgrades!

  3. Thank you, Teresa, for the information about the competition. I'm off to have a look now.

Woods in Spring are very special, but it's a shame about primroses becoming a rarer sight.Your pictures are beautiful. I love the shadows of the trees.

  4. The woods look lovely - just perfect for dog walking.

  5. I won't tell, Joanne ;-) We all seem to be getting these error messages lately x

They're like little stars aren't they, Patsy. As for upgrades - if they made it properly in the first place they wouldn't need to do them tsk x

It is a shame isn't it, Joanna. There are a lot of things named after the primroses round there, but hardly a primrose in sight x

They are, Annieye - Indy loves them x

  6. Lovely photos, Teresa, and sweet little flowers. Thanks for the link - will check it out.

I keep seeing that message too and was hoping someone else has already done it and can tell us what's different!

  7. I love PG Tips, but still don't want a Kindle. I cancelled my blog as I wasn't writing and I do miss it, but I'm writing again so that's good. Still following all you lovely bloggers though.

  8. I was hoping the same thing, Rosemary. It doesn't give you the option to preview it does it. All or nothing! x

Ah I wondered where you'd gone, Maggie. Glad you're writing! Did you ever make that dress? x

  9. I wonder why the primroses have declined. It would be interesting to know. I don't think it's a general decline in primroses. I've just been away in Suffolk and there were primroses EVERYWHERE - gorgeous!

I don't think they have any primroses on Primrose hill any more, either, come to think of it...

I agree about the new Blogger. I've tried the updated interface and hate it. I suppose we won't have any choice.

  10. I suppose that's why my blog's been doing weird things for the past week or so. More changes. I'm Taurean - I hate change!

  11. The photo of the anemones is beautiful, Teresa. We have a lot of them too in the wood next to our garden, but interspersed with bluebells. It's like fairyland.

  12. Jenny, I think partly it was because people used to dig them up in the woods for their gardens! Oh that doesn't sound very promising about Blogger :-( x

Me too, Jacula - Taurean through and through x

Sounds lovely, Biddy - the bluebells in the woods seem to have largely disappeared round here, which is a shame x

  13. I bought the material Teresa and it's on my 'to do' list. I presume you've done yours as you have been busy on your sewing machine? Nice that you missed me.

  14. Nice shots of Spring.

I don't like it when Blogger makes changes. Feeling a little insecure now

  15. Yes, it was the first thing I made, Maggie. It's a lovely little pattern and was really nice to make up x

I don't either, Maria - insecure is precisely what it makes me feel too x

  16. Thanks for the link Teresa, hope I win one, then I can download your kindle books. I don't like reading off the computer, seems silly. Lovely pictures, and I say eeeeekkkkk indeed about the upgrade.

  17. Why do things always have to be improved? Blogger is/was allright as it is/was. I don't like change. It's rarely an improvement.

  18. I don't like reading off the computer either, Suzy - probably feels too much like work! Good luck with the comp x

How I agree, Lynne - you just know whenever they "improve" something it is just going to make life more difficult x

  19. I'm looking forward to making it Teresa (I think). I'm a bit nervous as I'm doing it by hand, and I haven't made anything like this since my own daughter was little. That's why I keep putting it off, but I will do it.

  20. It was the same here, Maggie - but it all came back to me as I went along x

  21. Hey Teresa,
And eek, those "Primrose woods" may have had a smattering of snow on them the other day if the weather was as weird as ours was in Leek :)
And eek, Blogger and it's um improvements have been a pain in the you know what!
Take care and happy writing x
