It's A Cat's Life!

Harley’s favourite place is on my bed – usually on her back with her legs in the air!

All right for some isn’t it.

Not sure what’s happening with Blogger just now. Almost every time I load it up and visit blogs, the internet freezes – and trying to write a comment takes ages. I start typing and no words appear on the screen, then suddenly they arrive in a rush.

Dusty started hydrotherapy this week and was so excited to be back in the water. He had a great time. I forgot to take my camera, but will try to remember next time. We’re back at Newmarket on Wednesday for X rays and to see how he’s doing.

I did write a long post about typewriters, then decided to delete it. Needless to say if I had the space, I would collect typewriters. I love them! I have a noisy keyboard, but it’s not the same.

Hope it’s warmer and sunnier where you are than it is here - and hopefully next time I post it'll be something a bit less waffly!

  1. Hey Teresa,

Oh my and in Penny's case, anywhere I'm sitting becomes her place to sleep! :)

I hope your Blogger mystery situation clears up. Blogger is a joke, a bad joke, at the best of times!

Happy hydrotherapy for Dusty. All the beast, um, best, to Dusty.

Sunny and warm in Leek. Hope your weather is now the same. A good rest of the weekend to you and your loved ones.

    Gary :) x

  2. I bet Penny just wants to be close to you!
    Dusty thanks you :-)

  3. That is the best of cats they know comfort when they see it. Probably all to do with having been Gods in a former life?
Blogger has returned to it's bad old ways by swallowing the written word just as I publish a comment and the best way to keep the written words safe are to copy and save.

    1. Harley certainly likes her comforts. She's come a long way from the unwanted kitten that was tossed over the sea wall.
I'm glad it's not just me, but I'm sorry at the same time that you are having Blogger problems too xx

  4. I love Harley with her legs in the air. Our Brian likes to lie like that and have his tummy stroked whenever someone passes by. And I'm so glad Dusty enjoyed his hydrotherapy. Wishing him all the best with his X-rays too.
I love the sound of typewriters. We have an old Imperial (War Finish) sitting on a shelf just to be decorative (also very dusty) and I'm often tempted to use it just to hear the keys striking away! xxx

    1. They do like their tummy tickles don't they, Joanna :-)
I am so envious of your beautiful old Imperial - the old boys at a shop I worked in when I was sixteen had one in their office and I used to sneak along from my office (where I had use of a rather boring portable) and borrow theirs :-) xx

  5. Bob is in that very same position on my bed (got back from a late flight last nigh so having a lazy Sunday). On and off, I've had the same problem with my computer having a few seconds thinking time before deciding to show me the words I've written - but not just on Blogger. My only remedy has been to turn the computer off and start again. Very annoying!

    1. Strange isn't it how the words seem to hang for a while before appearing. So far it's only been happening with Blogger for me :-) xx

  6. Everyone else's bed always seems more comfortable than their own, so that might explain Harley's preference, Teresa. :D

Pleased to hear Dusty is back in the water- at least it's not the muddy type. Hope all goes well on Wednesday.

    1. Thank you, Carol :-) He has a shower after the hydrotherapy and always comes back smelling lovely - I shall be glad in a way when he can jump in muddy puddles again though :-) xx

    1. Thank you, Sue - he's off for a swim today and I'm trying not to think about Wednesday, but it's ALL I can think about (you know me!). You do fine with technology - you just don't realise how much you know :-) xx

  8. There is something exciting about the rattle of a typewriter. I don't know why. Collecting them would be fascinating. Well, if you don't have the space, you'll just have to write a story about someone who does!

Best of luck with Dusty's next X Rays.

  9. Waffle away, Teresa. I love to read it. So glad Dusty is on the road to recovery. Some nights I wake up in the very same position as Harley :)

Teresa, I've nominated you for the LIebster Blogging Award :) If you pop over to my blog, you'll see all the details. Don't worry, you don't have to accept, if you don't want to :)

    1. You've had a lot of problems haven't you. I'm having trouble with Chrome too and having to use IE just to access some sites. It's all weird.

Thank you for your kind wishes for Dusty xx

  11. My Internet comes and goes a lot but I thought it was just because of our village connection - very frustrating though!
