Improve your writing

I’ve spent far too much time here doing the exercises and it’s rather like being back at school, but in a fun way.

  1. I've just spent far too much time on that, but it was surprisingly interesting!

  2. I expect I'd find it interesting too, so I'm not going to click on the link until after NaNo.

  3. Great link! I need all the help I can get regarding grammar. Thanks Teresa. Caroline x

  4. I didn't know what a pleonasm was until I read the explanation. So it was reassuring that I did know which they were when I did the test.
I've put it in my favourites to go back to, so thanks for sharing the details.

  5. Yes I found it so too, Karen.

    Good luck with NaNo, Patsy.

    Me too, Caroline!

Neither did I, Carol. Like you I did okay in the test, so we obviously knew what a pleonasm was, just not that there was a name for it.

  6. I started looking at these exercises, but found I didn't always agree (but then, punctuation isn't an exact science, is it?). For example, in the exercise on commas, in no. 6 I would have used a semi-colon rather than a comma.

    Just a thought.
