I’m very sad to tell you that
yesterday morning, 28th December, we had to take Indy to see our
vet, Tom. Indy was asleep in the back of the car, so Tom came out to see him
and confirmed what we already knew, that he was very ill. After all the battles
he’d fought with his health from the time he was a little puppy, it had all got
too much for him and we had no choice but to make that final hard decision.
On Friday he had had a
brilliant day and was so full of life that the speed of his collapse and
decline came as a terrible shock.
He was such a dearly loved
member of our family, sweet natured, loyal and gentle. I just can’t believe
he’s gone.
Oh, Teresa, I'm so sorry for you loss. Thank you for sharing Indy with us through your blog. xxxx

DeleteTeresa, so sorry to hear about your loss, so sad, especially at this time of year. A long time ago my cat was diagnosed as having a tumour. He repsonded to treatment well though, one day he was running along the garden wall, the next we had to take him on his final journey. My only consolation was that he didn't suffer at the end and I hope that in time you will be able to feel the same about Indy. He was a lucky dog to be loved so much by you all and I'm sure his spirit lives on. Take good care of yourself. Linda
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda. Yes, what happened with Indy sounds very much like what happened with your cat. It is a comfort to know we did all we could and that he was happy and content for as long as possible and didn't have to suffer x
DeleteJust popped over to say hi, we miss you and hope you feeling a bit better.
