Dogs, Colonels and a Giveaway!

At last I’ve got round to publishing a new short story collection. You Can’t Love a Stranger & Other Stories is now out on Kindle. The twelve stories all have animals in them – mainly dogs and I have to say Indy appears in one guise or another at least three times. Tilly too, most notably in The Incredible Threesome as Millie - my favourite story in the book for three very good reasons.

Indy's on the cover too, with my lovely Tilly - one of my favourite pictures of the two of them because they were both caught having fun waiting for me to throw a ball!

And I’ve also published another novella which was a Woman’s Weekly serial in a previous life. The Colonel & His Daughter is a light-hearted tale about Trudy, a lady of a certain age, who is adept at sorting out the problems in everyone else’s life, but ends up with a broken heart of her own. You know me though – there’ll be a happy ending. And there are, of course, dogs!

The Colonel & His Daughter is free to download on the 24th and 25th November.

    1. Thank you, Frances. I've two longer ones to get onto Kindle but I think they're going to have to wait until the new year - my poor brain feels ready to explode - it took me a whole morning just to sort out the fact that one single page hadn't formatted properly - aaagh! x

    1. Tilly always surprised me when she met new dogs - she would chase off the bullies, run several miles from Irish Wolfhounds and occasionally she'd be a little mum if she was in the mood :-) x

    1. Thank you Pat :-) Blogger had hidden you in spam - glad I found you :-)

I was set against getting a Kindle, but now I have one - I don't use it all the time, but it's handy to stick in your bag for hospital waiting rooms and such - and easy to hold reading in bed. Still like a proper book best though :-) xx

  10. The collection looks great! Lovely cover. Thank you for the give away. I picked it up on amazon.com because for some reason we can't buy kindle from amazon.co.uk here in Ireland. No idea why! Anyway I 'liked' it on amazon. Best of luck xxx

    1. Thank you! They do look happy don't they. Spaniels are so good at the sad, mournful faces even when they're not sad at all, it was nice to catch them enjoying themselves ;-) xx
