Never mind old Hurricane
Bertha and her tail end bringing rain and wind, we had a fantastic start to the
holidays.
I shall be very sad when they all go back to school.
I was quite pleased with the photos taken on my phone. It was so bright I couldn't see the screen, so had no idea how they would turn out.
Dusty seems to be having
something of a growth spurt. He’s almost as tall as Poppy now. Knew he’d weasel
his way onto this post!
I haven’t been writing much,
but I’ve been doing a bit of Kindling.
And finally this one is a
collection of twelve longer stories of the Fiction Feast variety which may
appeal if you like a bit of murder and revenge. Available from Amazon UK and Amazon.
Harley says she’s far more
photogenic than dogs that smell of the beach!
Happy Holidays xx
You have been busy, Teresa! The beach photos are lovely - I now find I never use my camera, just my phone. I've seen a lot of my grandchildren too this holiday but when they go back to school there will be more time to write I suppose.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Wendy. I suppose we always have our phones with us! I am exhausted, but loving every minute :-) x
DeleteWhat lovely photos Teresa. Now I've got used to the camera on my phone I love it. Just printed a load off and am very pleased with the results. Nobody seems to know why it downloads three copies of every photo on to my computer though (not even the chaps in the phone shop who looked bemused!!) I've read Dangerous Love and The Love That Heals and they were brilliant reads so anyone who hasn't read them is in for a real treat. :-) xx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for saying such lovely things about the books, Sue :-)
DeleteIt is very odd about your photos in triplicate. Quite a relief in a way that even the phone people don't know why it happens, although still annoying to have three of everything x
Your pictures are nice. I am always impressed at the photo quality of the newer phone cameras.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jenny. It's a bit hit and miss. A lot of my phone photos are very blurry - but that is probably my fault rather than the phone! x
DeleteI love Harley's thoughtful expression. Beautiful pictures, Teresa, and beautiful books too. They look gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine how much you'll miss your lovely grandchildren when term starts. I'd much rather keep my daughters at home than wave them off. The last few weeks have flown by. x
It's really "her" Joanna if you know what I mean, shows off her sweet personality.
DeleteI would rather have kept my children at home too when they were at school.
Come September I will only have one kidlet left at home and he'll be starting playschool. The time has gone so fast x
Lovely pics, Teresa. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check out your new Kindle books. Love reading on my Kindle these days, it's so much easier on my eyes! x
Thank you Lynette.
DeleteNow I'm so addicted to my Kindle, I am getting rid of a lot of my proper books - that is something I never thought I would say! I have hung on to hundreds of books, always meaning to reread them, but I know in my heart that I won't ever open some of them again x
Love Harley. I like black cats.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Lynne. I don't get why black cats are so unpopular x
DeleteGlad to hear your enjoying the holidays Teresa. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Maria. I love the summer holidays - I think you may have guessed. I like your new profile picture :-) x
DeleteThe photos are great, Teresa, and well done on getting so much on kindle! It's always strange to us, the difference in summer holiday time between Scotland England. Our schools have now just gone back after the holidays and we're definitely going into autumn now!
ReplyDeleteIt's feeling quite autumnal here at the moment too, Rosemary, but I'm not complaining!
DeleteIt does seem strange that your summer holidays are so different from ours. It must seem such a long time from now until the Christmas break for the children x
Lovely pictures and lots of happy memories I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteI'm making the most of them, Patsy x
DeleteLovely to see the pictures from your holiday, and of Dusty and Harley. And congratulations on the latest kindle books. :)
ReplyDeleteMore of a staycation, Carol :-) But it is a holiday for me as much as the children when they're off school. Not sure we'll have the weather for many adventures this week, but I've some dye left and some white T shirts, so I may get them busy tie-dyeing :-) x
DeleteHow lovely that you have been able to spend so much time with the grandchildren. I love the covers of your Kindle books. I am looking forward to my writing group and art class beginning again and also a short break in York that we are having at the beginning of September. A compensation for the summer coming to an end.
ReplyDeleteI feel very lucky, Maggie and this week I'll have my two far away granddaughters coming to stay, so I am very excited about that :-)
DeleteI hope you have a lovely time in York. It is somewhere I have always wanted to go - I really want to go back to Yorkshire, there is so much I want to see.
Although I don't like school starting or the beginning of autumn, I do like the feeling of a new beginning you get in September :-) x
I love the school holidays when the kids play down our cul-de-sac. It's one of the sounds of Summer.
ReplyDeleteA lovely sound, Keith :-) x
DeleteI enjoyed the family vacation photos and especially loved the adorable dog (and cat), I'm just a huge dog person and your's looks like the dog my kids are begging me for. Is it A Border Collie? I hate that summer has ended. I am eager to check out your collection of stories and books on Amazon. Look for my twitter shout out when I purchase one. I am a new follower. Nice to be here.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Melissa :-) He's a springer spaniel - 7 months old. Border collies are a favourite of mine too. It's how we ended up with our first springer spaniel 25 years ago - I wanted a border collie, my husband wanted a retriever and we compromised and it's been springers ever since :-) Thank you for following - I am happy to have found your blog too x
