It’s been all go here again! Herself has a post all lined
up – all boring stuff about some day out she had with more pictures of boats
and water. For goodness’ sake, I keep telling her, no one wants to see pictures
of boats, they’d much rather see pictures of me!
The big news is that my little people all went back to
school this week. This one is going to playgroup four mornings a week now.
Doesn’t seem five minutes since she was dropping baby food on my head. And why
has she got two tails? Is that because she was so happy about going back?
The other big news is that I’ve been to the vet for my
check up and boosters. I’ve got the beginnings of arthritis in my hips and the start
of cataracts in my eyes, but otherwise Tom said I was looking good. I don’t know
who this Arthur person is and the only cat I ever see these days is next door’s. But the important thing is that Tom gave me a biscuit.
I was out at the woods first thing this morning. She said
she wanted to take me out before it got too hot. Heh, bet you didn’t think that’s
something we’d be saying in September did you?
She says this picture is noisy. I don’t know what she
means because I wasn’t barking.
There, that was better than boats wasn’t it?
Good morning, Indy
ReplyDeleteWe have to agree, pictures of going walks are more interesting than those of water - though water's ok when it's a nice big muddy puddle to splash in or have a drink from.
That Tom sounds a nice human. Knows what us dogs like. You're probably best forgetting about Arthur and cats sounds like something that might get your human twitchy.
Speak soon
woofs and wags
Tim 'n' Ted.
Yes, twitchy, that is exactly what she is - thanks Tim 'n' Ted - wags :-)
ReplyDeleteHello Indy. I'm Kimber and I'm on a 2 week sleep over with Nanny Maggie. I get a nice walk every day and a lie in the sun by the window.I think she's glad we don't go anywhere near water or I might be tempted to dive in. I'm getting on a bit too, so a few aches and pains are expected. The little ones are great aren't they for dropping nice treats here and there. I think she said something about adopting you, so I've agreed that's okay as long as I get her full attention when I'm here. Did someone say 'walkies'.
ReplyDeleteHello, Kimber! I'm glad to know I have a home with Maggie if ever Herself oversteps the mark and particularly if she ever starts talking about diets again. I love walkies - wags :-)
DeleteIndy you got a biscuit? Yeah well you totally deserve it. I bet you'll miss those little people dropping food about now they've gone to school - but they'll miss you too and make lots of fuss of you when you do see them.
ReplyDeleteBet if you looked really sad about them being away herself would take you extra walkies and maybe let you have another biscuit.
It was bone shaped, Patsy and quite delicious. I tried to look hungry but I didn't get another and he had a HUGE jar of them. I can do sad - I'm really good at sad :-) Howl!
DeleteMuch better than boats Indy. Way to go. And don't let that Arthur guy get you down - he's a pain I agree, but ask Herself to get you some of those chewy things with chondritin in them. Any excuse for another chew if you ask me. Luv Bob the Dog.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bob, I'll have words with her. She already gives me glucosamine, but she says she's going to try something with a bit extra - just as long as it tastes good, I'll be happy :-) Wags!
DeleteBeautiful Indy!! Maybe you can compromise and have your human take pics of you in boat with the little ones!! Yay!!! Take care

There's a thought, Old Kitty. I've never been in a boat. Hm, do you think there'd be biscuits? Wags :-)
DeleteGreat post and pictures Indy. I bet you're relieved when the little people go off to school, I know I am, although my 'little people' have grown quite tall now.
ReplyDeleteI helped paint Herself's shed yesterday. I've no idea why she was so bothered that I walked next to the wet paint. I thought the 'Seagrass' down my side and back leg looked rather fetching against my grey coat!
I bet Seagrass looks very fetching too, Grumps. Did you leave fur stuck to the shed? That's always good for a biscuit :-) Woof!
DeleteA lovely post, Indy. Those woods look very cool and inviting.
ReplyDeleteI bet you'll miss the little people now they're back at school. x
Herself says they're cool, but I get a bit hot and bothered. So many interesting sniffs to chase :-) You're right, I do miss them, but the littlest one will be round soon and he's always dropping food on my head - I have trained him well :-)Wag!
DeleteYou certainly have a lot to say for yourself, Indy! And you write remarkably well... Great post and lovely pics too!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pat :-)
DeleteLove your posts Indy. Pics are great too. Keep them coming x
ReplyDeleteThanks, Diane :-)
DeleteHey Indy,
ReplyDeleteIgnore the picture icon you are about to see. It's a photo of that human Gary I so kindly allow to live with me! :)
Indy, my doggy pal, you are proof pawsitive that us dogs are superior writers to those humans. Pictures of you over boats, any time! Although pictures of little people who are going back to school, is cool. See that, I can rhyme.
Pawsitive wishes and doggy kisses, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star! xx
You're a true poet, Penny - woof! :-)
DeleteLovely photos of the autumn sun coming through the trees. Good old Tom! You deserved a biscuit after all that poking and prodding.
ReplyDeleteI certainly did, Joanne :-)
DeleteGlad to hear you're doing well, Indy, and you definitely deserved that biscuit and walk!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rosemary :-)
DeleteGreat to catch up on your news, Indy. Hope you don't miss your little people too much while they're at school.

I'm coping, Suz - the tiny one gave me all his toast crusts before anyone could stop him on Friday - he calls me "Dindy" :-) x
